'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Johno picked in Team of the Week

As reward for his efforts at terrorizing Colchester fullback Karl Duguid for 90 minutes, Watford wing wizard Adam Johnson has been named in the Championside Team of the Week.

The folk in the know down at the Press Association have selected the England U21 wideman after he scored his 5th goal in 11 outtings for the Hornets and his trickery at pace won the penalty that King Marlon subsequently went on to miss.

Watford gaffer Aidy Boothroyd has been full of praise for his on-loan star of late 'He was great to watch, was full of energy, full of tricks and is keeping some good players out of the side. He`s really improving and as well as scoring he is providing plenty for the rest of the team"

The Championship Team of the Week (picked by the Press Association and published on the official Football League website) is made up of:

Myhill (Hull)

Connolly (Plymouth); Cahill (Sheff Utd); Spurr (Sheff Wed); Gorkss (Blackpool)

Johnson (Watford); Walters (Ipswich); Whelen (Sheff Wed); Miller (Ipswich)

Windass (Hull); Iwelumu (Charlton)

Good work Johno.

Richly deserved, without question. We really will miss him when he leaves.
