Just the OToole for the job

John Joe O'Toole is the latest player at Vicarage Road to receive and international call-up.

The shaggy-haired midfielder has won his first call up to the Irish Under21's squad for their forthcoming games against Montenegro and Bulgaria.

O'Toole is a product of the clubs prestigious Academy set-up and has played 8 times for the club in this, his debut season.

Since travelling with the first team squad to Germany for a pre-season tour the tenacious midfielder has not looked back as he quickly becomes a fans favourite.

Although he has benefitted from injuries to Gareth Williams and Damien Francis, as well as a suspension for Lee Williamson, the youngster held his spot for Saturdays game, despite Williamson's return. In fact, O'Toole has impressed that much that Gavin Mahon was replaced ahead of him on Saturday.

John-Joe qualifies for the Republic through his Grandfather who was born in County Mayo, no, not Paul Mayo, former 'Orn!

Good luck to John-Joe in his international career, let's see if he reaches the dizzy heights that Dominic Foley managed for Ireland whilst at the Vic'!
