Ex Watford trainee takes Spurs role

Ex Watford trainee and Academy striker Alex Inglethorpe has been appointed assistant to Tottenham Hotspur caretaker manager Clive Allen as the Spurs board seek a new man to replace the departed Martin Jol.

Inglethorpe, who made 14 first team appearances for the Hornets and scored 3 times in the yellow shirt as a young striker between 1990-95, has been involved in the Youth Academy set-up as U18 coach at White Hart Lane since leaving the Exeter City managers role in 2006.

Whilst Inglethorpe`s experience in management has centred on non league football at at The Grecians, Leatherhead and also the English National X1, he can boast a UEFA Pro License coaching badge - the top qualification in the modern game - on his CV…

Something he does share in common with Watford`s very own Sir Aidy.
