Skipper Mahon and King Marlon both took time out to personally thank a large contingent of diehard Watford fans - waiting to congratulate the players outside the Ricoh Arena - for their magnificent and vociferous support during the 3-0 win at Cov , before boarding the team bus to rest their weary legs.
And praise for the performance of the 2,000+ Glory Hornet fanatics inside the stadium didn`t end there with Sir Aidy going public with his thanks.
The Watford gaffer told those in the know down at the official club site "The support tonight was just terrific. Everywhere we go these days the fans outsing the home fans and tonight was just brilliant. I can`t say how much they meant to us to tonight".
Whilst the atmosphere at Fortress Vicarage remains 'tepid` to say the least, the Hornets travelling support have picked up plenty of plaudits on the road in the last few seasons after outsinging the masses at Old Trafford, Anfield and The Emirates.
With Hendo also claiming the Watford fans were a big factor in his decision to stay put at the club in the summer, the VitalWatford boys reckon there is a lot of love being dished out down at WD18 these days….
