Why Bolton job isn't right for Aidy

Lots of redtop gossip this morning linking Sir Aidy of Watford to the vacant hot seat at Bolton following Sammy Lee's departure. The Hornet's supremo is even rumoured to be on the fans prefered list of replacements on various Bolton fan sites.

So VitalWatford thought we`d do the right thing and offer up a few reasons (ok, 10 to be precise) as to why Aidy should stay at the helm of The Good Ship Boothroyd and keep well away from The Reebok Stadium amid all the speculation.

1 - 24 points from 10 games. Watford have only dropped 6 points all season. Bolton, well they only look set to drop.

2 - Bolton play this really ugly to watch direct style of football.It has all the hallmarks of 1980`s Route 1 long ball at times. It won`t suit your style Aidy. (VitalEd - hang on…)

3 - The Reebok faithful already know they have a 'roasted pigs trotter of a side`.
They won`t need you telling them in your post match press conference.

4 - Nicolas Anelka. Man Management. Enough said.

5 - War of the Roses : 1455-1487.
Aidy, you are a proud Yorkshireman. Bolton is in Lancashire. There`s history - do you really wanna be the next Henry VI?

6 - You`ll have to think carefully when writing Jaaskelainen, Teymourian, Michalik, Dzemaili and Harsanyi on a teamsheet. It`s hardly Smith, King, Poom or Mahon - despite the fact its worth 567 points on double word score in scrabble.

7 - Bolton frontman Heider Helguson has already snubbed you once this summer Aidy.
Imagine the smug look on the Icelandic striker`s face every time there`s a training ground bust up.

8 - El-Hadji Diouf. Man Management. Enough said.


9 - We all know you love pace and youthful exuberance in a side Aidy. Bolton have Gary Speed (38), Stelios (33) Ivan Campo (33) and Ian Walker (35) in their ranks. Need we say more?


10 - Outside of Derby, Sammy Lee has built the best Championship side in the Premiership. At Fortress Vicarage you are building the best Premiership side in the Championship. You do the logic Aidy.
