Harry Hornet set for National glory

Watford's Harry the Hornet will be out to prove the doubters wrong this Sunday in the 2007 John Smith`s Mascot Grand National being held at Huntingdon Racecourse.

Harry, who won the prestigious Millennium event in 2000 and "reputedly stung the bookmakers in a dashing finish to pip a ruffled Cyril Swan at the post" will be keen to find some form over the giant fences after some poor performances in the last 4 years.

With 54 entrants, this year's race is bound to be hotly contested and the VitalWatford boys are just plain desperate for the Watford matchday crowd favourite, to get the better of Alice the 'Crystal Palace` Eagle and Jude the Cat from QPR. Local bragging rights and all that!!!

Race favourite will be, 2 time winner, Chaddie the Owl from Oldham Athletic who finished 4th last time out, whilst Sammy the Southampton Saint will look to go one place better than 2006.

VitalWatford Towers is awash with anticipation that a grudge match between Mooie from MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon`s Haydon the Womble could well kick off!

Grrrrrrr (and no, that wasn`t our lame impression of Yorkie the York City Lion.)
