Watford 'No' to Pistone move

The Good Ship Boothroyd will look elsewhere in his search to find cover for left back Jordan Stewart after deciding against signing ex Everton and Inter defender Alexandra Pistone.

The 32 year Italian defender had been on trial at the Vic during late August as Boothroyd considered all his options after Academy full back Jordan Parkes became the latest metatarsal bone casualty.

When interviewed by the dog eared hacks down at the, ever so informative, Watford Observer, Sir Aidy said 'I decided it wasn't the right signing for us but given a bit of time and if he (Pistone) gets fit then I've got his number and we'll call him'

This is a further knock back for Pistone, since being released by Everton in the summer, after a trial spell with Middlesborough also prove unsuccessful.
