Pistone seeks Italian Job at the Vic

Pistone seeks Italian Job at the Vic

The very informative folk down at the good ol` Watford Observer have 'exclusively revealed` the news that former Inter Milan, Newcastle and Everton defender Alessandro Pistone is currently on trial at the Vic.

The Good Ship Boothroyd has been having a long hard look at free agent Pistone, 32, at the Hornets training complex in London Colney this week, as he seeks short term back up to left back Jordan Stewart.

The Milan-born, who has 11 U21 Italy caps in his back catologue, was released by Everton in the summer after 7 years service at Goodison Park and saw a potential move to Middlesborough collapse after spending time on trial at the Riverside in August.

Pistone has been the subject of big money moves in the past with over £7 million exchanging hands for his services over his career and would bring bags of know how to the Hornets squad 'if` he can stay fit and injury free…

But, here at VitalWatford Towers, we reckon that`s a jolly big 'IF`!!!
