The Super Eagle has landed...
Towering centre half Danny Shittu enjoyed his first taste of pre-season action, since returning from summer international duty with Nigeria, in the 3-0 friendly win at Borehamwood.
Shittu played out a typically solid 58 minutes alongside new arrival Matt Jackson, before being replaced by French youngster Cedric Avinel.
The performances of Shittu will be closely watched over the coming winter months by Berti Vogts, who handed the Hornets defender his 2nd international cap in an African Nations warm up against Kenya.
