Devlin departs

Former Scottish international Paul Devlin has left Watford by mutual consent.

The winger, who has enjoyed spells with Notts County, Sheffield Uinted and Birmingham City, is believed to be seeking a move back to the Midlands, with Coventry City and Walsall leading the race to capture the thirty-three.

Devlin told watfordfc.com 'Although I am naturally disappointed to be leaving a team that is doing so well, I understand why the manager is pursuing a youth policy. It makes sense and it is delivering results.'

Since the arival of Chris Eagles, who is on-loan from Manchester United, Devlin has fallen down the pecking order for the right-wing berth.
