Watford have announced that they will face the manager-less MK Dons in pre-season on August 1st with kick off at 7:45 pm. The Dons, who are set to move into their all-new 30 000 seater stadium have forged a partnership with the Hornets in recent years with a number of players moving between the two clubs, the most recent examples being Albert Jarrett and Dom Blizzard who were recently released by the Hornets.
The MK Dons reached the League Two play offs this season under the guidance of Martin 'mad dog` Allen but were eventual losers to Shrewsbury Town. Allen has since left for Leicester City but, much like Watford the Dons will be looking for promotion in their forthcoming campaign, this friendly providing quality opposition for both sides.
