'What I am thinking about is the last 12 - the last 12 Premiership games - not the last eight,' said Boothroyd.
'When we have an FA Cup game we will think about the quarter-final, if we get through that then the semi and so on.
'Winning our next game, that's our focus, and the players will do that or they won't play. I can't have anybody going off into dream world, thinking about 1984, Andy Gray or Steve Sherwood.
'If they have 'Phoenix From the Flames' then they won't play. The focus is very much on Wigan and they know that.
'They know where they are at, what is expected and what they have to do.
'There are 12 games left in the Premiership and the big one is on Wednesday. If we can win that one, then that will put the cat right among the pigeons.'
