Injury Boosts For Gracia

Injury Boosts For Gracia

Head coach Javi Gracia has been previewing Watford's clash against Everton this weekend and he's admitted he has some injury boosts ahead of the tie.

Welcoming the Goodison Park outfit to Vicarage Road for the game, Gracia confirmed that four players could come back into his thoughts for the tie as our injury issues now start easing at the club.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media on Thursday to discuss the upcoming challenge, Gracia explained that Heurelho Gomes, Miguel Britos, Will Hughes and Kiko Femenia had all returned to full training this week, so following a late assessment on each of them, he could welcome them back for a return.

'All of them have the possibility to come back. The team need them. It is possible some of them go into the team. Tomorrow we will decide. It is possible they will be available to participate in the match. They are not 100 per cent but they trained with the team this week.'

Britos has missed the last 16 games having been substituted in the match against Newcastle United following a collision with Jonjo Shelvey and his return is a welcome relief with Jose Holebas filling in as an emergency centre half and youngster Joy Mukena providing cover on the bench.

Gomes returns having missed the last five matches with a back back problem and gives Gracia a nice headache given Orestis Karnezis' performances in his absence.

Femenia has also been out since he limped off with a hamstring problem at the end of the two one defeat to Crystal Palace in December and the return of Hughes adds to our attacking options after he has been out for the last 15 games.

Stefano Okaka returns to contention as well and Gracia said that Troy Deeney is now fitter than he was in the game against West Ham given the ankle issue he was dealing with.

Younes Kaboul, Christian Kabasele, Tom Cleverley and Nathaniel Chalobah remain sidelined however.
