Darius and his demons
Buzzing Darius Henderson has revealed to us his inner demons that have tormented him throughout the season.
The one against Charlton was definitely a low point,' said Henderson. 'Going in after the game knowing that if I had converted my chance we would have got three points was hard to accept.
'With the Man United one I didn't feel like I panicked,' he added. 'If anything I relaxed too much and thought it was too much of an easy chance. I wouldn't say I panicked or felt the pressure on any of them - it just didn't go for me and I can't explain why.'
He is also extremely honest about missing his 'partner in crime' Marlon King.
'Marlon is very important to the team and we worked well together last year,' said the 25-year-old. 'His goals have been missed but we just had to get on with it. I've been reasonably pleased with the way I've performed but in front of goal I haven't produced.'
Darius sees hope for the future however with King possibly to return before the end of the season but more recently with Steve Kabba.
'That was the first time we played together and I thought it went well (Saturday),' said Henderson. 'He is lightening quick and his record suggest he's got goals in him so I look forward to linking up with him.'
Well done Darius, you are gonna get a hatful of goals against Ipswich Town on Saturday. You have managed to get rid your demons successfully in an almost biblical way by being open and saying, 'damn you demons, get OUT!'
