What Aidy said

What Aidy said

'I'm gonna enjoy tonight, I'm absolutely thrilled,' said Aidy after the game.

On the atmosphere:
'There is a great feeling in the dressing room, it's absolutely buzzing in there.'

On Darius:
'Darius has taken a bit of stick this season, but the fans have stuck with him, he appreciates that and he deserved his goal. He was the designated penalty taker but credit to him for scoring it.'

On luck:
'We rode our luck at times. I don't care if we stay up or not, but I want the players to be all they can be.

There were so many pluses tonight, delighted.'

On debutant Cavalli:
'We took a risk with Cavalli, he is exceptionally talented and I believe he helped keep the ball better. He was part of the 25 trialists at Watford. He travelled 14 hours to be here, put his boots on and went out there. Fair play.'

On Kabba:
'Kabba makes a difference with his pace, opens up spaces for other players like Cavalli.'

On Mahon's lack of a red card:
'I don't care, he missed the penalty.'

Final word:
'We were the stronger team today, there is no way they would score.

If it's down to bottle we will never be found wanting.'

I love it when I can watch Match of the Day without looking through my fingers!
