Mark Ashton is ticketless
As you'd expect, January is probably the busiest time of the year for all football clubs and we are no different.
We ended the month by bringing in eight new faces and I know that Aidy explained the thinking behind each of them in his weekly email last Wednesday.
As some of you may have noticed on Saturday, work has begun in earnest on the Rookery Stand - the builders have been on site for the last ten days and their work is already evident.
This has been planned to cause you all the absolute minimum of inconvenience and to enhance the facilities at that end of the ground as part of the overall redevelopment programme.
Within the next month, those of you whose seats may be affected by the work in all parts of the ground will receive communication from us regarding any disruption that will be caused - and ways we can work together with you to find solutions to minimise the impact.
We are also very close to finalising our plans to revamp the whole process of stadium entry with a brand new system that will bring huge benefits to you and to the club. It will principally involve state of the art technology allowing fans to access the stadium by swiping a card against an electronic reader.
This will move us towards a ticketless environment which will also integrate with our retail, catering and trust functions to enable us to provide a much more professional all round off-the-pitch service.
I hope that you will agree that all of these developments show how the club is moving boldly into the 21st century with a fantastic stadium and internal structure to support it.
