Silva Hails Bournemouth Performance

Silva Hails Bournemouth Performance

Watford gaffer Marco Silva has hailed the quality and personality of the side as they took a well deserved victory over Bournemouth at the weekend.

Travelling to Dean Court for the game on Saturday, Watford took a two nil victory with goals coming from Richarlison and Capoue late on in the game, and it was nothing less than Watford deserved given the number of efforts created on the day.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media for his post game press conference, a delighted Silva knew there was still room for improvement, but he was confident that would come in time given how the side look to be gelling at this early stage of the season.

'I am really happy. This was our first very good match and I think we deserved the three points. It was a balanced first-half but our second-half was very, very good and we had a lot of chances to score.'

Silva went on to explain.

'We had quality, we had personality with the ball and we had very good moments with our offensive organisation and our fast attack. We did everything that we prepared during the week. The players carried out our plan for the match very well so congratulations to them.'

There were also words of praise for the travelling fans on the day.

'Congratulations to our fans as well for the way they supported our players here in the stadium. Now is the moment to rest, to analyse the match and to look forward, because this is only three points.'
