'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Long Term Planning.

Adrian Boothroyd is looking ahead to develop Watford. He says he needs three years to build a team able to reach and stay in the Premiership.

He says to do so we need the right investment and fans to be patient.

Quotes from the official website: 'We've got to make sure that people understand we are on a three-year plan. If we get to where we want before that, then the players and staff will have done an excellent job - overachieving in many ways, bearing in mind where we were six months ago.'

He continued:

'In my mind, it will take three years to develop a team that grows together and is capable of not just getting to the Premiership but staying there and becoming a sustainable Premiership club.'

Lets hope his timescale doesn't stir up a Hornets nest eh?!
