Team news: Ranegie could make debut at City

January recruit Mathias Ranegie could be in line for his Watford debut this weekend as the Hornets head to the Etihad in the F.A Cup.

The 29 year-old Sweden international has been unavailable to head coach Beppe Sannino thus far as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

However, Sannino has confirmed to The Watford Observer that the 6ft5in forward is now fit and available for selection for Saturday's fourth round tie.

There is less encouraging news on Lewis McGugan and Iriney, both of whom will miss out with muscle injuries picked up during the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth last weekend.

Alexander Merkel and Fitz Hall are both suspended, whilst long-term absentees Tommie Hoban, Essaid Belkalem and Reece Brown are all still sidelined.

Hector Bellerin is ineligible under the terms of his loan deal, but Marco Cassetti is fit once more following a knee problem.

Almen Abdi completed 60 minutes at Bournemouth without suffering a relapse, but could be left on the bench from the start once again as he gradually builds his match fitness.

Manchester City have a significantly shorter injury list, with Spanish international Alvaro Negredo their big doubt.

The former Sevilla striker suffered a knock to his shoulder during Tuesday's 3-0 win over West Ham United in the League Cup semi-final second-leg and is a doubt for the weekend.

French midfielder Samir Nasri is definitely sidelined with knee ligament damage.

Portuguese youngster Marcos Lopes - who scored against Watford in last year's competition - could replaced David Silva, who is also sidlined, Pellegrini confirmed today (Friday).
