Anya makes Scotland debut in Belgium defeat

Hornets' wing-back Ikechi Anya made his Scotland debut in the 2-0 defeat by Belgium this evening.

The Glasgow-born flyer came on as a second-half substitute for Gordon Strachan's side, who were beaten 2-0 by Belgium thank to goals from Steven Defour and Everton's Kevin Miralles.

Anya, who has been in excellent form for Gianfranco Zola's Golden Boys since February, entered the fray as a 58th minute replacement for Robert Snodgrass.

Defeat for Scotland leaves them bottom of Group A with two matches of qualification left as attempt to salvage some pride.

At 3am GMT, Lloyd Doyley's Jamaica are away to Panama in their CONCACAF 2014 World Cup qualifier.

The Reggae Boyz will be looking end a winless streak of nine matches.
