Are Hornets up for the Cup?
Watford will reach the quarter finals of the Carling Cup, according to the results of our poll.
27% said that the Hornets would see off Championship basement boys Hull City in Round Three but would fall at the next hurdle. 22% said that Watford - who are likely to field a reserve side against Hull as they did in the previous round against Accrington Stanley - will be defeated by the East Yorkshire outfit in the third round.
19% of voters said that The Golden Boys could emulate the exploits of Wigan Athletic last season and could reach the final of the competition. The same figure also said that Watford would exit the competition at the quarter-final stage.
Just over one in ten said that the class of 2005 would emulate Ray Lewington`s class of 2005 and reach the last four of the cup. A mere 2% said that the Hornets would win the competition, this, however, will prove to be difficult as teams like Manchester United have taken the competition - which provides a route into Europe - more seriously.
