OFFICIAL: Forsyth departs for Derby County
Defender Craig Forsyth has joined Derby County on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
Forysth, 24, had been on loan with the Rams towards the end of the season, making 10 appearances for Nigel Clough's side.
Clough had made no secret of his desire to sign the Scot on a permanent basis and Watford had previously turned down a bid which did not meet their valuation of Forsyth, believed to be from Derby.
Signed by Sean Dyche from Dundee in 2011, Forsyth made 16 Championship starts for the Hornets in his two seasons at the club, spending the majority of last term out on loan with Bradford City and Derby.
Employed at left wing-back on a couple of occasions, Forsyth was not central to the plans of Head Coach, Gianfranco Zola.
Speaking to the official Derby site, Clough said of the signing: "His performances at left-back were excellent and we were really pleased with him, and we`ve had our sights set on him permanently for quite a while now.
"We have been aware of him for quite some time, even before he joined us on loan, and we`re delighted he sees Derby County as his home for the next few years.'
In total, Forsyth made 26 league and cup appearances for Watford, scoring five times.
Good luck, Craig.
