'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Udinese forward Fabbrini linked with Watford

Udinese forward Diego Fabbrini is 'close' to a move to Watford, according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Fabbrini, 22, spent the second half of last season on-loan at Udinese's Serie 'A' rivals Palermo, scoring once in five starts and making a further three substitute appearances.

Di Marzio, who works for Sky Italia, is highly-regarded as a journalist and is an authority on transfer dealings involving Italian clubs.

A second striker, Fabbrini was signed by Udinese from Empoli in 2011 and has made 12 Serie 'A' starts for the Zebrette in two seasons at the Stadio Friuli, scoring twice.

An Italian U21 international, Fabbrini won his one and only full cap against England in a 2-1 friendly defeat in August of last year.
