Reserves to play against Accrington?

Aidy Boothroyd should field a reserve side against Accrington Stanley tonight, according to the results of our poll.

Ahead of our Second Round Carling Cup clash, Vital Watford asked 'what team should we play against Accrington?`

41% of voters said that Watford should rest their first-choice players and field a reserve side against the League Two outfit, similar to what happened against Notts County in the Carling Cup last season, a game where the Hornets won 3-1.

35% said that Aidy Boothroyd should select a combination of first-team and reserve players against Accrington. This could ensure that we have enough quality to win the tie and progress to the next round, while at the same time giving key players a rest in preparation for Saturday`s Premiership match at Wigan.

Under a fifth of voters said that Watford should field a first-choice eleven for tonight`s match. This, on paper, would ensure that Watford progressed to Round Three but may hinder our Premiership preparations for Saturday`s trip to the JJB Stadium.
