Hall and Chalobah set for Barnsley return

Gianfranco Zola expects to welcome Fitz Hall and Nathaniel Chalobah back against Barnsley on Saturday with Marco Cassetti also 'fine'.

There was less encouraging news however on the condition of midfielder Almen Abdi, who looks set to sit out the trip to Yorkshire on Saturday along with Manuel Almunia.

Named in the Hornet's starting XI to face the Tangerines last weekend, Abdi was withdrawn 15 minutes before kick-off and the Golden Boys certainly missed the Swiss playmaker's influence in midfield.

Almunia's hamstring problems continue though, and the experienced Spaniard will again see Jonathan Bond deputise between the sticks in his absence.

Centre-back Hall has recovered from a hamstring strain whilst Chalobah, only fit enough for a place on the bench against Blackpool last Saturday, has also overcome a hamstring issue.

Zola confirmed to The Watford Observer that the on-loan Chelsea midfielder had returned to his parent club for treatment but should be fine to face the Tykes on Saturday.

Skipper John Eustce (back), Connor Smith (knee), Tommie Hoban (Achilles), Almunia (hamstring) and Neuton are all out, but Prince Buaben is fit enough for selection once more after a long-term hamstring problem.
