'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Millwall Preview (H) - November 7

CURRENTLY ENJOYING a seven-game unbeaten run, Millwall visit Vicarage Road on Saturday a place above the Hornets in the n.Power Championship table in 14th.

Having thumped the so far impressive Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Kenny Jackett`s Lions will be looking to build on what was an impressive 4-1 win at the City Ground as they travel to WD18.

After a slow start to the new campaign - which included three straight defeats in September - Millwall now appear to be firing in cylinders thanks, in no small part, to the form of their triumvirate of hotshots - Darius Henderson, Chris Wood and Andy Keogh.

Henderson, now 31, is of course well-known to Hornets supporters after spending three successful years at the Vic`, bagging 29 goals in 105 appearances as a Hornet.

Sold to Sheffield United for a fee of 2m with the tip of the club`s financial iceberg coming into view, Henderson faltered at Bramall Lane, with serious injury & a succession of managers hampering his progress in Yorkshire. The Sutton-born forward still managed 22 goals in 72 league appearances though before switching to south London on a free transfer.

The powerful 6`4 hitman is now back to his best in front of goals, and, after a maiden campaign which saw him net 19 times in 34 league and cup appearances, Henderson has begun well again this term with seven goals in 15 appearances already. He is sure to be afforded a warm ovation at the Vic` this Tuesday.

On-loan New Zealand international Chris Wood is another big, strong, physical presence carving out a reputation for goals at the Den, hitting the back of the net six times in his nine appearances for the Lions to date.

So impressive the big Kiwi has been, that Jackett has made clear his intentions to try & sign the 20 year-old forward on a permanent basis already.

Wood, born in Auckland, has already enjoyed loan spells at this level with Barnsley, Brighton, Birmingham and Bristol City and has 27 goals in 65 league starts since moving to England in 2009 from Hamilton Wanderers.

Finally, there`s Irish international Andy Keogh.

Keogh, 26, was captured on deadline day of the 2012 January transfer window, and has quickly made a big impact south of the river with 13 goals in 25 Championship starts.

Formerly of Scunthorpe United and Wolves after starting out as a trainee at Leeds, Keogh has made no fewer than five loan moves before settling at the Den.

Smaller and nippier than both Henderson and Wood, the Dubliner has 25 full caps for the Republic and has twice scored on the international scene.

Gianfranco Zola is without John Eustace (back), Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring), Prince Buaben (thigh) and Neuton (ankle). There has been no news on the condition of Fitz Hall who was withdrawn a minute from time on Saturday in some discomfort.

Millwall are without former 'Orn Jack Smith, striker John Marquis and experienced centre-back Paul Robinson. Alan Dunne returns from suspension.

Predicted line-ups:

Watford:
Almunia (c); Doyley, Hall, Hoban; Cassetti, Chalobah, Hogg, Abdi, Pudil; Deeney & Forestieri.

Millwall: Forde; Smith, Shittu, Beevers, Lowry; Henry, Trotter, Abdou, Taylor; Henderson & Wood.

Referee: Mr G Ward.
