Dale Bennett returns to Watford

Defender Dale Bennett completed his loan spell at League Two strugglers Wimbledon this weekend and is to return to Vicarage Road.

The Dons were beaten 1-0 at home by league-leaders Gillingham yesterday, but Bennett was unable to feature due to injury once again.

Despite impressing early on during his loan spell in south London, the 22 year-old has been unable to put a run of games together due to niggling injuries.

Speaking to the Hounslow Chronicle, Dons' boss Neal Ardley said that Bennett would return to WD18:

"Dale has been injured so it's logical that with Mambo in, he [Bennett] will go back to Watford.'

In total Bennett made five appearances on loan at the Kingsmeadow Stadium.
