Pudil suspension reduced to one match

Daniel Pudil's suspension has been reduced from three match to one following his red card at Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

The Czech Republic defender was dismissed in the second half for an off-the-ball offence which nobody apart from the linesman appeared to have seen.

Pudil was given a straight red and banned for three matches for violent conduct for violent conduct.

However, yesterday afternoon The Watford Observer that the Club would appeal the ban after new evidence came to light from Cardiff's own video footage of the game.

Winger Craig Noone, who had been struck by Pudil, also stepped forward to submit written evidence in favour of the Granada loanee, stating that he had not intentionally been struck.

Pudil will not miss this Saturday's trip to Blackburn Rovers before returning to the fold for the following match.

It's not often we've got something good to say about Cardiff City, but thanks to both Noone and the Club for helping the 'Orns out of trouble on this occasion.
