Ben Foster on England bench

Ben Foster is likely to be on the bench for England`s Euro 2008 qualifier against Macedonia tomorrow (Wednesday).

Chris Kirkland - who made his England debut when coming off the bench against Greece last month - has been ruled out of the Skopje clash, leaving only Ben Foster as cover for Paul Robinson.

England boss Steve McClaren has decided against calling up a replacement but Scott Carson - who is currently with the under-21 side - has been placed on stand-by.

Although Foster, 23, currently on-loan from Manchester United, is yet to play for the Three Lions, many feel that he should be England`s first-choice 'keeper.

Definately -watch him on match of the day. He commands his area well. One would think he is 33 not 23

Hasn't had quite as big as experience as Robbo yet, and I think that's shown with him being loaned to you. But the way you're progressing him into the keeper he is, he's going to play in the future!
Tierney
