Mackay looking for turnaround against Watford

Malky Mackay is looking for an improvement on Cardiff's 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday as Watford visit south Wales tonight.

The former Hornet's boss saw his side beaten 3-1 at the City Ground on Saturday and will be keen to not only get one over his former club & secure a record sixth consecutive victory.

Speaking to Wales Online, Mackay spoke about getting back on the right tracks:

"It`s good that we have a game quickly, it`s something you always look for,' admitted Mackay.

"It`s lovely to have these records that the group has managed to achieve over the last year, but at the same time the goal is nothing other than going out there and making sure we get the three points.'

Speaking about his time at Watford, Mackay continued:

"Watford was one of the best times of my career, we were promoted in Cardiff which was a fantastic achievement for the club.

"Aidy gave me the chance to get into the coaching side of the game and I am grateful for that, it continued under Brendan and then I was given the chance to be manager. As far as the club is concerned I have got a lot of feeling towards Watford as a club and as an area."
