Another Watford staff member departs
Gianfranco Zola has today (Tuesday) confirmed that Sports Scientist Matt Springham has left the club to take up a position at another Championship club.
Springham, who joined Watford in September 2010, was one of the few members of staff who were retained when Zola took over in the summer.
Zola was made aware of Springham's intention to depart on Friday and he has now left Vicarage Road.
Speaking to The Watford Observer, Zola thanked Springham for his contribution:
'He has made his decision because he wanted to go to work somewhere else. I respect his decision completely and we are thankful for what he has done for us,' said Zola.
'I am also very thankful to him personally because he has helped me a lot so far this season.'
