3 mins from halftime 2-0 down.. We can't defend to save our lives...
watford1881
Lloyds goal the only high point of today match.. Brighton a massive match now...
watford1881
Why is it massive?
ANDY710
Massive is over-stating it but I understand the sentiment. We need a win soon because, right or wrong, there is expectation. That coupled with the new faces etc make it tough and we do need a win.

Lloyd's goal not the only positive! The fact we totally dominated the second half was the major prositive. If only we could defend set pieces we would be picking points up from these games

I backed Dyche, but now Zola is in charge, he must be given time to gel the squad and learn about his players. As Chris said, second half, we dominated, 5 games played Gents, 5 games played, let's get real, if there were 5 games to go, then be concerned? Not now FFS
ANDY710
Well said Andy. It's frustrating because we were all more positive this season with the takeover etc, but if we had started like this without the expectation, no issue.
wfc123
Massive coz it would make it 3 in a row.. Losing may become a habit which is sometimes hard to break... I'm not sure if u can change the style of play we have & be successful too early... Set plays are a real problem for us to stop.. Each time the other team gets a free or corner kick near the goal I really fear a goal... We lack height in the team..
watford1881
3 in a row? Piece of cake, we've been on longer losing runs than that! The team are lacking a captain, losing Eustace, Taylor has really upset the team, but it could be November or later before we see what we really are about! Quality wise and player depth, we have more of than I can recall, it's just not gonna come together quick.
ANDY710
Teams now know set plays & crosses Watford can't cope with.. Zola agrees we van't continue to lose so many easy goals & expect to get any points.. Set plays are the key to beating us... Know everyone knows this too.....
watford1881
Yup, we're cack at set-pieces and as with the style of play generally it's something we've got to work at, it will come, however in the mean time we've got to be taking chances. We had enough of the ball yesterday to have made and scored another goal. Taking a point at Bolton wouldn't have been a bad result so as ever in football, it's fine margins.
