Massey Joins Colchester Utd on 3-year-deal

Watford striker Gavin Massey has joined Colchester Utd on a three-year deal after a Free Transfer this afternoon.

Despite making a handful of appearances for Watford, Massey has had most of his football away from Vicarage Road since becoming a professional, with loan spells last season at Yeovil Town and Colchester Utd.

At Yeovil, Massey managed just three goals in seventeen appearances including two ironically against Colchester. Massey would join the U`s on loan later that season but did not find the net in any of his eight appearances for the club.

His last appearance for the Hornets came in our 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace last season, a game which to date marks our last away defeat.

Massey joins a new-look Colchester Utd side this season put together by manager John Ward joining other younger players such as Freddie Sears at the League One outfit.

Good luck Gavin from everyone at Vital Watford!
