OFFICIAL: Assombalonga loaned to Southend
Homegrown attacker Britt Assombalonga has joined League Two Southend United on a one-month loan deal.
The 19 year-old, who spent last season on-loan at Wealdstone and Braintree Town, has this evening linked up with Paul Sturrock's side.
The DR Congo-born forward will look to get a steady run of matches with the Shrimpers during an initial one-month loan agreement which means he is eligible for the club's season opener against Accrington Stanley today.
