Friendly double-header for Hornets

A strong Watford side defeated Barnet 8-0 earlier in the day before a development XI travel to Clarence Park to face St Albans Ciry tonight.



Goals from Jonathan Hogg, Joe Garner, Nyron Nosworthy, Almen Abdi, Mark Yeates and Sean Murray (two) did the damage for the GoldenBoys.



Zola played two separate sides in te defeat of League Two Barnet, one in each half. The match, which took place at the Hornet's London Cbey training ground, saw the 'Orns line up in a 4-3-3 formation.



New faces Manuel Almunia and Almen Abdi both featured along with Daniel Pudil at left-back.



Tonight, a development XI head to local Blue Square South outfit, St Albans City, for two first warm-up match of pre-season.

First half XI vs. Barnet: Almunia; Hodson, Taylor, Nosworthy, Pudil; Eustace, Hogg, Abdi; Yeates, Garner & Murray.



Second half XI vs. Barnet: Bond; Doyley, Bennett, Thompson, Dickinson; Jenkins, Buaben, Forsyth; Anya, Iwelumo & Mingoia.
