'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ross Wilson set to depart

Head of Football Business Ross Wilson is set to Watford are Gianluca Nani effectively replaced him.

Nani, who has been appointed as Technical Director, is in charge of player recruitment now leaving Wilson something of a spare part in the Hornet's new setup.

It is not known whether Wilson has another job lined up elsewhere or not but it is understood that the Football Club and Wilson are currently in discussion over his departure.

The 30 year-old, who joined from Falkirk last summer, is highly-rated by staff at Watford past and present, with Graham Taylor being one of the Scot's biggest advocates.

Derby County were rumoured to be interested in Wilson as their CEO Tom Glick joins Manchester City this summer.
