Loach out, Almunia in at Watford

Watford have tonight accepted a bid for goalkeeper Scott Loach, according to The Watford Observer.

The Hornet's number one has been courted by Ipswich Town for a number of years now but it is understood that a bid has been accepted tonight.

Watford are also believed to be in talks with former Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia with a view to replacing the Suffolk-bound Loach.

Almunia, 35, left the Gunners on a free transfer at the end of last season and is already in talks with the Hornets over a free transfer move if reports are to believed.

One man who looks less likely to be signing is former AC Milan and Juventus striker, Pippo Inzaghi. The 39 year-old forward was not at the club's UCL London Colney training ground today, in spite of a number of reports to the contrary.
