McGinn signs new contract

Hornet's midfielder Stephen McGinn has today signed a new one-year contract extension with the club.

McGinn effectively became a free agent on June 30 when his last deal expired although people close to the club were always confident he would sign a further deal.

Despite the takeover from the Pozzo family who have installed Gianfranco Zola as manager it seems McGinn is still wanted by the management team at Watford.

The contract extension of one year also includes an option of a further year should the Hornets want to extend it.

McGinn last played for the Hornets on 26 February 2011 in a Championship game at Doncaster where he seriously injured his knee and has seen him miss sixteen months of competitive football.

Glad McGinn has resigned.. He's a descent player.. He's a passer that's what Zola likes... Can see a few players leaving as well as loans & signing coming in.. I can see the likes of Jenkins, Big Chris & no doubt Deeney leaving... Although I think Udinese & Granada do have quite large squads... COYH.....

I just herd on twitter that Watford FC legend Keeper Tony Coton is recovering from a heart attack.. I'd like to publicly wish Tony a speedy recovery.. Zola give him a job when he's better... Tony was for me the best Keeper Watford have ever had...
