Ex-Hornets make Team GB squad

Ex-Hornets make Team GB squad

Former Hornet's pair Marvin Sordell and Tom Cleverley have both been selected as part of Stuart Pearce's Team GB squad.

Sordell, 21 and Cleverley 22, have both been named as part of Pearce's 18 who will represent Team GB at the Games.

Bolton Wanderers striker Sordell only left Vicarage Road in January, but thanks largely to injury made just three substitute appearances for the Trotters.

Pearce handed Sordell his England U21 debut last Autumn, as England's young lions beat Azerbaijan at Vicarage Road.

Cleverley spent a superb 2009/10 season on loan at the Vic', scooping the 'Player of the Year' award in the process.

The Manchester United youngster spent the 2011/11 season on-loan at Wigan Athletic before returning to Old Trafford this season, impressing despite injury.

Team GB will face the UAE, Senegal and Uruguay at the tournament.

Congratulations to Marvin and Tom, and the best of luck!
