Watford refuse to comment on Deeney

Watford Football Club have released a statement to say that they will not be commenting on Troy Deeney's custodial sentence at this time.

A statement released shortly after Deeney's sentence was handing down read:

WATFORD FC wishes to confirm that it is fully aware of sentencing relating to Troy Deeney, passed at Birmingham Crown Court today (Monday June 25, 2012).



either the club, nor individual officials, will be making any comment at this time.

I think it would be very hard to keep Troy now.. Unless he comes out & shares just how rough jail is & how it's not glam for young people to want to go there.. He might reach some kids that others could never dream of doing... Who knows.. It's a very thin line to tread..

I want him sacked personally. This is a family club an we cannot be seen to support convicted criminals, even if it was out of character. Shame, he will make a good freebie for someone!

If the deal with the Pozzo's doesn't go through can we afford to sack him & get nothing for him??

Who knows. Financially maybe not, but morally, I think so.
