Wycombe match to open Hornet's season

Watford will begin the 2012/13 season at home to Wycombe Wanderers in the Capital One Cup on August 11.

Due to the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine and the London Olympics, the football season will start later than normal.

As a result, Watford's first fixture of the new campaign will be in the re-branded Capital One League Cup on Saturday August 11, kicking off at 3pm.

The club have said that both the Lower Rous and Family Area of the Vicarage Road end will be close - presumably anticipating a low turnout.

Tickets for the match will be priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and just £1 for U16's.
