Bassini confirms takeover

Bassini confirms takeover

Laurence Bassini has revealed that Udinese and Granada owner Giampaolo Pozzo will takeover the club 'within 48 hours' - provided he has the funds.

The Hornet's owner was only very recently quoted as saying that Pozzo was no longer interested, however that has all changed.

Speaking to The Watford Observer, Bassini said of the imminent takeover:

"I can`t confirm that I will definitely leave because I do not know if they have the money for definite. If they do then it could be in the next 48 hours."

"He owns two football clubs and has 100 players to pick from and I think that will be a good thing for Watford."

More is expected to follow.

Hard to say, but I think most people are less concerned about this one than when Bassini took over.

On the Udinese web site it says this owner has been voted best owner in Italian top league... He does sound quite sound...
