Hogg aiming for top-six spot

Watford's midfield enforcer Jonathan Hogg has admitted that he will be targeting a top-six Championship berth next season.

The former Aston Villa midfielder has told The Watford Observer that he sees no reason why the Hornets cannot reach the Play-Off's next season.

Watford finished six points and five places outside the n.Power Championship's top six last season following a brilliant run-in which saw Sean Dyche's side come close to an unlikely Play-Off campaign.

Hogg said: "There is certainly room for improvement in all of us and hopefully next year will be a better year and we will be near the play-offs."

Six teams have to finish in the top six places so who knows.. We'll know more when the season gets under way... Then we'll know who's in & who's out... I think at the moment it would take a great season to reach the top six...

Yup. I'm more positive than I was last ahead of last season but it's early, early days. Lets wait and see until we've signed/sold players!
