Iwelumo set for shock departure?

Experienced striker Chris Iwelumo has been heavily linked with a move away from Vicarage Road today.

Here at Vital Watford we're not normally ones to pay attention to internet rumours, but it's silly season, so why not?

A number of Bournemouth fans on Twitter, one or two or which could actually be 'in the know' have said that Iwelumo is a Bournemouth player.

There has been no announcement from either club and on the basis that Iwelumo did hit form in the spring, it seems odd to move him on.

However, if he's not guaranteed first-team football, or if Bournemouth can afford to offer him longer terms then there's a certain degree of sense in it.

If anything does come of it, you'll be the first to know.
