Watford target United youngster Amos?

Watford will look to land Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos on-loan this summer, according to reports.

The Macclesfield-born 22 year-old stopper is United's third-string 'keeper behind David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard.

According to The Daily Mail, Ipswich Town are also interested in a move for the England youth international who has caps at every youth level from the U16's up.

Amos made his Premier League debut in a 2-0 win over Stoke City in January of this year and penned a three-year contract extension yesterday.

With Watford's rich history of Manchester United loanees and a vacancy in the goalkeeping department following Rene Gilmartin's exit, the pieces all fit.

Whether or not there is any truth in the rumour is another matter altogether seeing as we're in silly season!

Can't see Loach not getting SD backing this season...
watford1881
As pointed out by the superb Matt Rowson on bHappy, if Loach doesn't get Dyche's backing this season it's hard to see him sticking around. A make or break year for Loachy (amongst others).
