Hornets head to Wycombe in pre-season

Watford will travel to Buckinghamshire to face local side, Wycombe Wanderers in pre-season.

The Hornets have already confirmed friendlies at Wealdstone (July 21) and Boreham Wood (July 17) as well as hosting Spurs (August 4) for Lloyd Doyley's testimonial.

Watford will now travel to face League Two Wycombe Wanderers on July 31 with a kick off time of 19:30.

The Goldenboys last faced the Chairboys in 2006 in a friendly for their ill-fated Premier League stay. Goals from Marlon King, Matt Spring and Malky Mackay secured a 3-2 win on what was Paul Lambert's debut at Wanderers boss.

Wycombe can boast two former Hornets in their side with Academy graduates Marvin McCoy and Joel Grant both lining up at Adams Park nowadays.
