Hornets host Spurs for Doyley testimonial

The latest event in Lloyd Doyley's testimonial calender has been arranged - a pre-season friendly against Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur will send a side to Vicarage Road on August 4 to help the long-serving defender celebrate his 10-year anniversary with the club.

According to the Watford Observer, there will also be a legends match before the main event.

Having made his firs-team debut as a Goldenboy in 2001, the Whitechapel-born stalwart has clocked up 370 appearances as a Hornet.

No disrespect to Spurs, but a shame it wasn't someone we haven't already played recently. Still, well-deserved and should be a good day.
