Ipswich to capture Kuszczak?

Watford's on-loan goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is believed to be on the verge of agreeing a deal to join Ipswich Town this summer.

The Manchester United 'keeper, 30, is out of contract at the Theatre of Dreams this summer and has made it clear he will not be signing a new deal with the Red Devils.

Having impressed at Vic' since signing on-loan in February, the Polish international has made the number one jersey his own as well as winning the hearts of Watford fans.

A string of impressive stops at Brighton on Tuesday kept the Hornets in the game whilst superb stops against Derby, Leeds and Hull City have all endeared Kuszczak to the Vicarage Road faithful.

However the small matter of the Pole's future remains, and Championship rivals Ipswich are believed to be close to securing a deal for the former West Brom and Hertha Berlin gloveman.

Should that turn out to be the case, it's been a pleasure having you Tomasz, and we've all enjoyed your steady 'keeping!

Ipswich fan here - have certainly heard the reports that we're interested in Kuszczak but not sure we're any closer to signing him than any other club at this stage. Would have thought there'd be some Premier League interest too.

Same here Darren. I think there will be a tussle for his services, especially consider just how well he has done here. Obviously I hope he loved Watford and snubs everyone - I am however a realist! ;)
