Massey re-called by Hornets

Watford have re-called striker Gavin Massey from his second loan spell at Colchester United.

The 19 year-old forward had previously been on loan with the Easex-based club but was quickly re-called then as well, making a 45 minute appearance from the bench at Crystal Palace.

Watford-born Massey has also spent two loan spells with Yeovil Town earlier in the campaign, scoring three times in 16 appearances for the Glovers.

Massey has been re-called by Sean Dyche with an eye on giving the youngster some game time during the Hornet's final three Champoonship fixtures.

Speaking to the The Daily Gazette, U's boss John Ward confirmed the news:

"I got a phone call from Sean Dyche and Watford asked if they could recall him and we`ve let him go back a game early.

"I hope he gets an opportunity there, because that`s what he wants to do."

Welcome back Gavin.
