'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dyche: 'The least they deserved'

Sean Dyche praised the character and resilience of his side after they came back to claim a point in south Wales yesterday.

The Hornets fell behind to a Kenny Miller header just before half-time and despite a plentiful supply of chances it took an 82nd minute leveller from Nyron Nosworthy to tie the score up at 1-1.

Speaking afterwords to the Official Site, Dyche said:

'I thought our performance showed all the qualities which have served us well this season.

'We were excellent in the second half. And we showed immense character to come back from a goal just after half-time.' Said Dyche.

'At half-time, I reminded them how good they are and what they're capable of doing, and I was delighted with how they responded to the challenge of establishing control.'

Meanwhile, Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay was full of praise for his former number two, congratulating Dyche on the job he has done at Vicarage Road:

'I think Sean is doing a great job considering the circumstances he is working under at the football club. I know people there and I think himself and his team are doing really well for the football club.' Mackay told the The Watford Observer

Watford are back at the Vic' this Saturday as they play host to Nick Barmby's Hull City.
